My Family Friend's Wedding

so waking up at 10 am today i realised we werent going to church.

ok, so i knew that i was going to a wedding - didnt know we were gonna skip church altogether. oh and also - by going to this wedding; i'd be missing a Best Friend's dinner... i had to go to the wedding; its not like they can just do a catch up ceremony the next week. Doi

anyway, i got spiffed up - suit and tie, with an added fedora to top it all.
and i also put product in my hair for the first time in a really long time.

so the 1hr or so Ride was boring but when we got there i recognized it.
it was the same place where we had my Graduation Dinner.

i saw the inside, it was all white and really pristine.
i had a bit of trouble with the guest list.

i'm used to being called RALPH outside of home; at home i get called by my middle name: Louisse (pronounced Luis) and that was the name i was listed as.
so when i said my name - Ralph - the receptionist had a difficult time finding my name, i realized what was happening and i finally got in. :S

i sat down and waited for the ceremony to start.
it did eventually aside from all the late people coming in minutes before the bride walked down the aisle (who by the way looked absolutely stunning)...

tsk tsk

anyhoo; it was a really nice wedding - you could tell that the couple getting wed REALLY loved each other.
made me think - could i make that kind of commitment? would i be able to love someone that much?

well i guess i'm pretty darn close to a certain someone right?

anyway - after that we all went to take photos with the newly weds, while we were all waiting h'Ors d'Ouvers (sp?) were being served.

i ate practically every type they had except for the spring rolls/egg rolls and the small meat pies.
i ate:

fish sticks
dumplings
falafel
spinach and ricota pastry

the dips were this Curry thing and sweet chilli sauce.

Dinner was eventually served and here's the menu.

entree was good; even tho it smelt burnt...
for the Main course i ate the salmon but i also tried the Chicken

dessert came 'round and i went all out.
profiteroles, creme brule (which was freaking awesome) and triple choc Brownies!

they had a toast for the bride and groom in which i participated...

and followed through a bit too enthusiastically...

and caused a bit of a prob. :S

anyway - it ended up being a good day and yeah... congrats to Aris and Ai Hoon McRae; and may they be blessed with many years of marriage.

peace

Haha, Jeremy's comment got me thinking about a drunk Ralphie. LOL. That would be a blasty blast. (Yeah..I don't know why I said that.)

I've never been to a wedding, how sad. But I imagine they're wonderful to attend.
