New Years Biotch!

so yeah posting before the new year.

dad asked me to get ready cos we're gonna see the fireworks.
i said "now? it's still bright outside (which it was - very bright for 6:30pm)"

dad was like yeah; there's one at 9 and another one at 12.

we were going to the one at 9? really? wth is that about?

it's redundant.
to be honest i dont see the point of it.
although i guess its for the kids who cant stay up late.

well too bad for them!
tough tits!

it's not my fault their body clock isnt as screwed up as mine :P

oh and i'm also ticked off that i dont have anyone to kiss when the new year turns in, it's sad =_=

anyway - hope everyone had a GREAT Year and may this Coming Year bring More blessings.

love you all!

Peace, 2008~!

Freakin Motherboard [WARNING: NERD TALK]

**NERD TALK UP AHEAD, PROCEED WITH CAUTION AND A DICTIONARY/WINDOW OF WIKIPEDIA UP**

so okay.

i'm assembling my dad's computer.

processor's in its place, hard drive's there, Blu-ray drive too.
graphics card's good to go; it's all plugged in and ready to fire up.

i press the button...

nothing.

wth?
i check the plugs again
nothing.

ah crap...

i unplug everything; unscrew the power supply, get the other computer, switch the power supplies, and plug everything back in.

NOTHING

i wiggled the plug going into the Motherboard and i saw some lights flash - GOOD lights, not bad sparks...

i thought maybe the bits at the bottom of the board must be shorting against the case.
so i loosened up some screws and it seemed to solve the problem.

so anyway i turn it on, the Bios loads up and i press DELETE to go to the setup screen

while going through the menu

the Whole thing Freezes

i couldnt even use my keyboard to navigate through the menu...

i restart the computer
it does it again.
and again and again.

i look at message boards and some say that the motherboard might be dead.
PLEASE DONT DIE! YOUR EXPENSIVE!

long story short:

it didnt get fixed - it probably IS the motherboard.

this sucks...

OMG YAY (O'.')-O *BAM!*Q('.'Q)

Manny Pacquiao won the fight against Oscar DelaHoya!

yay

but to be honest - Manny didnt have much to lose.

i always say this; if he won - AWESOME; he freaking beat someone 2 weight levels above him (was it 2 weight levels? i cant remember) and on top of that he beat DeLa Freakin Hoya! that guy was a gun in his HeyDay.

but on the off hand that he lost, it was "expected", he was 2 weight levels from his norm; and he was against Delahoya!

FREAK! i'm so glad he won tho.

Mabuhay ang mga Pilipino!

i'm gonna go see if i can watch an online replay of that fight :P
i dont gots no PPV

my second home

if you've seen my tweets or know me and talk to me often enough to know my weekly schedule (AHEM GARBO AHEM) yall would know that i spend a minimum of 2 days at church.

whether it's because i'm serving (doing video mixing or just helping around), worshiping (straight up church services), or i got dragged there by people (most likely my parents) - i'm usually at church.

normally i'd got to Church on Fridays for Youth and Sundays for Church.

simple enough right?

no

lately i've been doing alot of video editing and filming for my youth group; announcements and promotions, and i'm usually available all week (well before i was available almost 5 days a week) so my time for filming is usually on the weekdays where i have my days off school or well; during the holidays.

so thats 1-2 more days

then there's my video mixing thing. i just recently got rostered on for video mixing atleast twice a month (sunday and saturday - same weekend). And sometimes i take over people's "shifts" so i do their weekend as well.

that's i guess 1 more day (cos i'm usually at church on sundays anyway)

so lemme tally up all the days...

1+1+2 = 4 (duh)

with 1 to 2 days margin of error.

i spend 2 to 5 days at church.

and my parents wonder why i'm always in my room for the time that i AM home...

Dont get me wrong; i love spending time at church, helping out, praising God and all.

but when it just DRAGS ON.
i cant take it.

Saturdays and Sundays are the worse;

on the saturdays that i DO go to church i usually have to do my vision mixing thing. which coincides with my parents cooking food to feed the homeless and disadvantaged.
my work finishes when the church service does - around 8pm. my parents finish when the kitchen is spotless and clean and it's 3 hours into the next day.

so today - being saturday (actually sunday now but we'll say it's saturday for argument's sake) i had to be at church early (4 pm) to set up the cameras - my parents needed to get there early too, to start on the cooking. so we got there and i did my mixing thing and my parents did they thing too. i finished at 8; went to the kitchen and got some food. i stood around, talked to people, ate some more, talked to people some more, stood around, helped a bit... when they were all done, we eventually left.

we got home at 11:30pm

tomorrow; i'm doing it all again. get there before 10am - preferably 9 - set up finish at 12pm; but this time after church: instead of waiting for my parents to finish their bible study which drags on til 3pm mind you, i'll be at the local housing commissions, filming some of the people at church give christmas hampers to the residents there. so YAY i get to do something!
but it's what happens after that i'm worried about.
i'm pretty sure that my 'Rents aill STILL be at church, STILL cleaning, STILL talking, and STILL wont go home.

wrapping up; ive tried going home myself, taking public transport and commuting home. but i gotta tell you - it sucks.
if you dont own a mode of private transport during the weekend, you're gonna have a hard time getting anywhere.

so yeah i'm stuck at church; it's ok when you want to go, but it starts to go sour when you're there for too long.

Back in Melbourne

so yeah; i woke up today at 5.
and i just chucked some pants on and re-organized my stuff before we had to go.

while waiting for Leah's older Bro to get ready, she and i had a little talk, reminisced on what happened during the week and did some heavy duty hugging.

just before i walked out of the house i quickly slipped a letter to leah (that i wrote the night before) in between her laptop. so she'd def. find it when she got back home.

so at the airport i got my boarding pass and got inline for the security check; we said our goodbyes as i got lost in the winding maze of airport security.

so the procedure was; i got all the crap i had around my neck, and in my pockets on a tray. i also had to take my lappy outta my bag and put it on a tray aswell. then my Bag and then the gift that Leah's mum gave me to give my 'Rents.

did i mention that she gave me (by me i mean my family) 3 boxes of Lindt chocolates o.o
as a gift?

i cleared the metal detector with my pants still up, i took my stuff and as i was walking towards the stairs, this security guy stops me and tells me that he needs to do another security check.

he then starts wiping my had with this thing that looked like the child of a lint picker and a metal detector. after he wiped my hands, he took of the small piece of cloth that touched my hands and put it in this small machine.
i had a glance at the piece of paper that was on the table - this check was actually to check for gunpowder residue. They were prob. thinking that the chockies was a bomb... noobs.

anyway, the guy swiped my hands, clothes, bag and the gift itself before calling for his mate to triple check in the xray machine.

i eventually got to go to my gate and i fortunately got there in time (10 mins to boarding time). went in and had to go all the way down the back; it was ok.

the plane took off and i thought i might order some food while the flight was going... i ended up falling asleep (uncomfortably mind you) until we actually touched down in Melbourne.

Dad was already at the Arrivals gate but my bag wasnt.
it eventually went around the conveyor and went to me.

*My eyes are so heavy right now... i wanna go to sleep*

so anyway on the dive home i told my Dad about some of the stuff i did while in Syd.
and how i wished i couldve been there for longer :P

anyway; i'm really tired. i've gotten used to sleeping quite early now.

gnight guys, love you all.
