Freakin Motherboard [WARNING: NERD TALK]

**NERD TALK UP AHEAD, PROCEED WITH CAUTION AND A DICTIONARY/WINDOW OF WIKIPEDIA UP**

so okay.

i'm assembling my dad's computer.

processor's in its place, hard drive's there, Blu-ray drive too.
graphics card's good to go; it's all plugged in and ready to fire up.

i press the button...

nothing.

wth?
i check the plugs again
nothing.

ah crap...

i unplug everything; unscrew the power supply, get the other computer, switch the power supplies, and plug everything back in.

NOTHING

i wiggled the plug going into the Motherboard and i saw some lights flash - GOOD lights, not bad sparks...

i thought maybe the bits at the bottom of the board must be shorting against the case.
so i loosened up some screws and it seemed to solve the problem.

so anyway i turn it on, the Bios loads up and i press DELETE to go to the setup screen

while going through the menu

the Whole thing Freezes

i couldnt even use my keyboard to navigate through the menu...

i restart the computer
it does it again.
and again and again.

i look at message boards and some say that the motherboard might be dead.
PLEASE DONT DIE! YOUR EXPENSIVE!

long story short:

it didnt get fixed - it probably IS the motherboard.

this sucks...

oh haha well then take it to the mac store, if you still have the warranty then they should be able to fix it for free
