i have a lot of impressing to do.

i think it's been agreed on that i'm going to have to go to the UK sooner or later - i'd rather sooner, but other plans have gotten in the way (i'm (trying) not (to be) bitter), cos i have to meet Garbo's friends and family sometime.

anyway - i always knew that i'm going to have to make a good impression on her friends and family, and i always thought i could just wing it.
that might not be such a good idea after all.

i mean, i have watch what i say and do.
i'm a pretty embarrassing guy to be with (for those who havnt been around me enough to know), i dance in public, i sing retardedly catchy songs and i get a bit crazy when i'm with my friends (to a certain point). oh and sometimes i might not catch on the situation as quickly as i should and i usually say something or do something that ruins some surprise or makes the situation be REALLY awkward.

but basically i gotta follow 3 rules.

1: keep your hands to yourself
2: smile and nod.
3: do everything they tell you to.

i think if i follow this, i'm in the clear. doncha think?

oh and an addendum;
since garbs has gone back to the UK, i'm gonna have to adjust the times that i get to talk to her... and it's gonna SUCK! i'm way used to the 2hr difference. i don't know how i'll cope.

PS. the pic above was the ACTUAL picture i wanted to use, but when i direct linked it, it ended up giving me that stupid stop sign.

PPS. i'm actually quite good with my friend's parents, they love me. i guess i'm not that worried as such but it's going to be weird calling them auntie and uncle then in a few years calling them mum and dad (hopefully).

I think you have nothing to worry about, just be yourself!

BE YOURSELF, simon's right. some discomfort is normal since it's the first time and all.

my only advice is to think before you speak (because from your descriptions, you're similar to stephen haha), but i think you'll know what to do when the time comes :)

@simon thanks, i hope that's gonna turn out for the best.

@soph lol, the stop sign wasn't on purpose; it replaced a picture i meant to have instead of it.

@stephen yknow what, writing this; it reminded me of you :P

@elizabeth yeah; i hate discomfort. i loathe the awkward silences in conversations! i try alot to keep the conversation rolling. it's not so much that i blurt out whatever, i think i just dont discern the situation enough to make a "good" judgement :P
